Dr. Saiontz was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended college and medical school at the University of Maryland. Thereafter he did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta Georgia followed by a fellowship in Medical Oncology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN.
After formal medical training, Dr. Saiontz spent 10 years in the private medical oncology/hematology practice in Johnstown, PA. Thereafter he did locum tenens work for 10 years, providing part-time coverage for medical practices in various parts of the USA. Eventually he moved back to the great Baltimore area where he entered private practice once again, eventually retiring in 2015. Then in 2018 he resumed part-time work with the Gettysburg/Hanover Cancer Centers based on his past close working relationship with Drs. Satish Shah and Tina Khair.
