I have been a nurse with the practice since 2013, right out of nursing school. I enjoy working with our patients and seeing their successes, and also being there for them in their time of need. I’ve been able to create amazing relationships with them that I will remember forever. Nursing is definitely what I was meant to do.
I always knew I was meant to care for people in some way or another; it always felt like a natural instinct to be there for people in their time of need. Being a nurse has been one of the most difficult and one of the most rewarding experiences. I felt drawn to the speciality of oncology, because being there for these patients during this time in their lives means everything to me.
I have been an RN for 4 years and an LPN for 8 years prior. I always knew I wanted to be a nurse since I was a sophomore in high school. I started off as a CNA at Hanover Hall, to get my foot in the door to Healthcare. This is where I was given the opportunity to go back to school to obtain my LPN. 6 years later, I moved to Vero beach Florida, and proceeded to get my RN at IRSC in Fort Pierce. Once I graduated, I realized how much I had missed my family and moved back to PA. I am currently living in Orrtanna with my fiance, Charles and we are getting married in May. I have 3 amazing step children,Maddison, Charlley and Charles . In my free time I enjoy watching football, fishing, going to the beach and spending time with my family every chance I get.
I am an oncology certified nurse and have been a registered nurse for 28 years. I feel as if oncology picked me originally, and I still enjoy taking care of patients and their families. I love being an oncology nurse because I can help patients become their own advocate, teaching newer oncology nurses, and I enjoy learning new things everyday. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters that I enjoy spending time with. I enjoy the outdoors, riding motorcycles, spending time with my family, and sewing and doing crafts.
