Infusion & Imaging
Infusion Center in Central Pennsylvania
We’re proud to serve, treat and help patients and families throughout Central Pennsylvania in our outpatient infusion centers, located in Gettysburg and Hanover, PA. Our central locations let families travel a shorter distance for care that’s high-quality, with an at home, comfortable feel so patients can relax.
Our trained and educated staff ensure patients feel content and comfortable by offering snacks, drinks and blankets throughout their stay. We’re also happy to talk for a bit when we check-in because our care focuses on more than a patient’s physical wellness, but their emotional and mental wellbeing too.
Patients and families can also take advantage of our Gettysburg Cancer Center Oral Pharmacy, which is located near our multispecialty infusion center. Our certified pharmacy technician manages our pharmacy and fills several prescriptions, including:
- Oral chemotherapy
- Injectable medications
- Supportive medications (antiemetic)
- Antibiotic therapy
By using our pharmacy, patients and their families can go home and rest after treatment instead of rushing to the local pharmacy and waiting in line. It’s another way we work to make our patients’ lives a little easier during a difficult time.
Infusion Center in Tri-State Area
We offer infusion treatments for cancer, non-cancer and multiple sclerosis (MS) patients at our infusion treatment centers in Hanover for York and Adams County. To ensure every dose and treatment meets our safety standards and every patient’s needs, we follow a set routine:
- Each patient is evaluated. Our nurses check each patient before treatment. A patient’s blood work, temperature and overall wellness are reviewed before a nurse releases the infusion order to our trained pharmacist.
- Every dose is measured when a patient arrives. Our pharmacists review the order, which is based on a patient’s recent blood work, health and treatment course. The infusion is then prepared in our pharmacyaccurately, with care and sterile tools.
- All doses are double-checked. Our pharmacist and nurses each double-check the prepared infusion treatment and the infusion order. The pharmacist compares the prepared medicine against the doctor’s order before giving it to our nurses. Two nurses then double-check the prepared infusion before giving it to the patient.
While our nurses and pharmacist are at work, patients can relax in our waiting room or our individual treatment areas. Televisions, magazines and free Wi-Fi are all available for patients to use while we prepare their infusion treatment. Our front desk coordinator is also available for any questions or concerns.
